5.0The place was quite a handy location for walking to the local shops and cafes. There is a nice soda nearby.
− Poor / no communication from the owner before check in. Other places in Costa Rica send in for before your arrival, nothing from here. When I messaged asking a couple of questions pre-visit I got no reply. The beds were not very comfortable. The people living at the place - not sure if they were the owners family - were noisy. Often sitting outside the rooms talking very loudly, children playing instruments and generally made it hard to rest there. It don’t feel like a friendly place. I read really good reviews and it was a lonely planet recommendation, but I felt it had been overrated. Expensive for a very basic accommodation. Breakfast was poor quality.

9.0Great service from Emmanuel. Very welcoming and helpful about tours etc. It was such peace of mind to have his help with transportation to and from hotel. The room and common areas were comfortable. Location was convenient, walking distance to Santa Elena. Great family vibe.
− Shower water spills out but that's been mentioned in other reviews, it's not a big deal especially since you have option of housekeeping.

8.0Very good accommodation for c Value of your money. If you are looking for moderate luxury, this might not be for you, but if you are on budget but also want breakfast and clean, feel this one's definitely good. The owner tries hard to maintain it and meet your expectations.
