Pretty and relaxing getaway spot.

We had a very nice stay at Kimya House. We initially stayed in the self contained apartment away from the main house. Very private and relaxing. Alberto was a wonderful host, welcoming and helpful. Local staff were super nice too. Pleasant surroundings, nice pool. A substantial breakfast. You could also request an evening meal. On one occasion Alberto organised a dinner for all the guests at a restaurant. Good location not far from the beach.

− One night it rained and the water started coming through the thatched roof in various places, soaking the floor. They worked to try and resolve the issue but eventually it was decided that we'd move to a room in the main building. This room was fine but nowhere near as nice as where we had been, it was located right next to the kitchen. There were a lot of flies buzzing around and a lot of energy was spent swatting them away from your food at breakfast time. But this was not a problem exclusive to Kimya House. It was the same story when eating at the beach. Alberto was Italian and consequently almost every single other guest was Italian. Nothing against them but the majority spoke little or no English so we couldn't really talk to or socialise with them. I'm not a big fan of such homogeneous environments where everyone is from the same place. I wouldn't want everyone to be from the same place as me either.

La struttura è bellissima e perfettamente curata, fantastica la piscina al termine di una giornata di mare o delle escursioni. Abbiamo alloggiato nel bungalow e in una delle stanze al primo piano, entrambe le sistemazioni erano perfette. Il bungalow è defilato rispetto alla struttura principale e da un grande senso di intimità, le stanze al primo piano sono molto spaziose e comode. Alberto è una persona molto piacevole, simpatica e disponibile, ci ha dato moltissimi consigli sia su Watamu che sulle attrazioni vicine. Ci ha anche dato la possibilità di fare una doccia dopo il check-out una volta dato l'ultimo saluto al mare del Kenya. Per noi lo staff è stato il fiore all'occhiello della struttura. Rama, Florence, Salim e Alfred sono stati gentilissimi dall'inizio alla fine, i piatti che hanno preparato erano tutti squisiti e hanno avuto sempre un'attenzione particolare per noi durante tutto il soggiorno. Ci è dispiaciuto doverli salutare. 🍉✌🏼

Ottimo, Questo alloggio è veramente Bello e confortevole , tutti i servizi sono stepitosi ed è possibile cucinare o hanno un servizio cucina interno, che è fantastico , anche se devono imparare a lasciare la pasta più ardente . Personale molto servizievole ed educato , Alberto l'host è una persona disponibilissima per tutto, consigli ed eventuali uscite , esperto, Vi darà delle dritte e a Noi ha letteralmente fatto risparmiare denari, evitando fak delle guide, prezzi cena /pranzo interni , abordabilissimi , disponibilità totale , tutto perfetto, spero di ritornarci.

Relax nel cuore di Watamu

Ho alloggiato nella suite queen, un bungalow “distaccato” dalle altre stanze. La meraviglia di questa casa è che è immersa nel verde, un vero angolo di pace. Alberto è un host meraviglioso che ti fa sentire a casa, con cui passi il tempo piacevolmente, sempre pronto a darti consigli e ad aiutarti nell’organizzazione delle escursioni. Ho mangiato due volte presso la struttura ed è stato entrambe le volte ottimo! In più, Alberto cerca sempre di fare il massimo per accontentare i clienti, anche nelle piccole cose: ad esempio mette gli adattatori nelle stanze per le prese elettriche, e quando il phon non funzionava più me l’ha cambiato dopo 5 minuti. Questo dimostra quanto tenga al comfort degli ospiti. Un posto che consiglio davvero a chi cerca tranquillità e perché no, anche buona compagnia ☺️
