− Everything was great, no complaints. Although it was quite small! Smaller than we thought it would be. But this didn’t affect our trip in the slightest.

− We booked an apartment that, on Booking.com, was advertised as having two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, and a bathroom. However, this is not what we arrived to. We have contacted Booking.com, contacted the host in writing, and called the phone number listed for the host, where we spoke to a person. We have documented everything. The host has since confirmed that there is actually no kitchen in the apartment. The host is also frustrated that Booking.com misrepresented this on their website. Note, the kitchen is located 12 floors down in a dark basement, where there are no utensils, no bowls, and it is dirty and unhygienic. In the shower, the water was scalding hot and completely unusable, so we couldn’t even take a shower. We subsequently wrote to Booking.com and the host, stating unequivocally that we are canceling the rental, as it does not meet what we paid for. We offered to pay for the one night we reluctantly endured. Booking.com has received our review and informed the host that if they do not respond to the matter within 24 hours and resolve it, we are entitled to cancel the entire rental. We do not wish to have further phone contact with the host, as we are on a very short holiday and do not want to spend additional time having a poor experience. As stated, we canceled the rental yesterday and offered the host that we would pay for one night. We also offered the host an opportunity to make us an alternative proposal. This situation is truly regrettable, and we intend to upload a full account of this experience so that others do not end up in the same situation as we did.
