It was enjoyable but could have been a pretty place with some work.

WE liked the location and the size of the home. The amount of baths was great. Rooms were roomy. Lots of area outside

− We didn't like that we were told we couldn't flush the toilet paper and had to throw it in the garbage after use. Gross! We fell that the home could have been better kept and cleaner. The outdoor kitchen and all around it were very dirty and unkept. The pool liner was gross and needs changing desperately. We used the pool but it looked unappealing and the area around the pool was very unkept with rocks and loos brick all around it. The house definitely needs lots of TLC and it could be very beautiful. The furniture is old and in some bedrooms there was now armoire or closet making it difficult when you are there for 10 days. The entire property is in desperate need of a landscaper. Everything is overgrown and a mess. Trees and flowers need to be trimmed and the entire outside property was dirt. Cement landings and stairs are broken and chipping off. Then we really suffered with all of the mosquitos. We were eaten alive. I know that is not the houses fault but the property could be treated regularly for that. Made life miserable for 12 people. We love Sicily and will return so we will have to explore other properties next time that might be newer and cleaner. Also the street down to the property needs lots of trimming and cleaning up. everything is overgrown. Also, the pictures and the bedding advertised in the photos and listing is not what is there. We had to ask for another twin bed because all of the rooms had queen beds in them and not everyone was a couple. 2 of the 3 lounge chairs that were there were broken. I did complained and they brought us 2 new ones. We really had no access to the sea like the ad said. It was a 12" path down and you could literally kill yourself to get down. In ending, we enjoyed our stay because it was a great family trip but the house & property needs lots of upgrading and fixing up.

− Servizio scarso...il cancello d ingresso non funzionava con la serratura che si staccava dal muro...il codice del wifi inesistente;ho chiamato la signora che gestisce l appartamento per richiederlo e mi avrebbe fatto sapere il giorno dopo...mai più sentita...le pulizie in quattro giorni non sono mai state fatte...asciugamani usati per 4 giorni...penoso...peccato perché l appartamento é proprio carino...

Great location,Bathroom needs up-dating. Shower is very small,I am not a big/broad person but every time you moved or turned you banged into the doors.

− We had a big storm one night and the water was coming through the floor in the kitchen and bedroom.(I have photos) we had to use the towels to clean it up.I called the company and left messages including photos but no-one answered.It was the next morning before a maintenance team arrived.

Magical Villa on top of the Sea

What a magical place! It’s fantastic to lay in bed with the windows open and look at the sea. When the wind is blowing, it’s delicious! The location is close to Aspra, Sant’Elia (my fave) and Bagheria and there’s a restaurant a short walk away with fantastic views. Just a short walk down stone stairs is a fantastic private beach rock entry. You can swim around the corner to the Arco Azzurro! The Terrace is huge and there’s an outdoor shower, which is very refreshing after a swim and you have privacy so you can sun bathe. It’s great to have a washer to clean clothes. This would be a very romantic place for a couple. But I enjoyed it very much as a solo traveler. The staff was very friendly, kind and helpful. It’s a very special place. I highly recommend it.

− These aren’t dealbreakers for me, but I recommend the owners make improvements. Plus, I appreciate honest reviews for when I’m looking for the next place to rent. So here is my honest, constructive critique. The villa is a bit rundown. It’s sad to see its potential going to waste, especially with the outside terraces. It is equipped with very little supplies. No paper towels or rags or cleaning supplies to keep the place clean especially in the bathroom where you could start to smell mold. A few cleaning supplies would allow tenants to keep things shipshape. I also think better explanation of taking care of the waste and separation would be helpful. It was very confusing to me and I think I failed at it. My apologies. The Wi-Fi is in the outdoor room with the washer and there’s an extender in the bedroom, but it didn’t work. They need to fix that because the Wi-Fi signal was poor in the villa. I think charging for ALL electricity is unreasonable. There should be a per diem allowed of kilowatt hours and then anything excessive over a certain amount be charged because I can see how running the air conditioner would become very expensive for the owners but I shouldn’t have to pay for the refrigerator running or lights being on. If they just put a few fans in the house, people wouldn’t have to run the air conditioner so much. I live in Hawaii. We have fans in every room. We don’t have air conditioners. it does become very hot in the evening when the wind dies down. Also, there’s no protection from mosquitoes. I had to buy a plug-in mosquito repellent and sprays because I was stung by mosquitoes at night. Perhaps they could provide that or a mosquito net on the bed. The problem is, if you leave the windows open so you don’t have to run the air conditioner then you get bit by mosquitoes, but if you close the window, then you have to have the air conditioner. It’s a problem they should figure out.

The view was amazing. Close to town without the masses of people. The roof top shower was great to cool down or de salt. There is a 120 steps (concrete) down that lead you to a private swimming area (rock). Perfect for a dip. The property is massive for a one bedroom 2 person residence. An extra room would make it perfect for a family!

− The driveway is a bit tight even for Italy standards! Just be cautious. The property could use a bit of TLC, with a bit of effort would go a long way. I saw the comments about small shower and thought stop being picky. But WOW it is small!!!! 60 cm x 60 cm. The apartment is bare bones. No coffee but there is a stove top espresso maker and a pod one. Wine glasses were plastic. Bring mosquito repellent of every kind. We bought the burning ones on the second night. They ate both of us badly. (I realize this is nothing to do with the apartment I just warning you!)

Nice old big house, very clean, good communications with Giorgia. We lacked some proper kitchen equipment to be able to cook for 12 people but they tried to accomodate us when we mentioned it. The pool is perhaps not for adults, small and shallow.
