The location was perfect for us, with a great view, and lively surroundings. The kitchen area was spotless and met our needs. Overall the apartment was clean. Our host was a great communicator and accommodated our luggage storage in advance of check-in.

− The bed in our apartment was quite dreadful (it was like a box spring without a mattress, was super hard and could feel the inside components of the mattress. Overall, despite being clean, some updates would really make the place worth the cost (broken/leaky bathroom faucet, uncomfotable bed, flimsy/broken wardrobe, cleaned grout, etc.).

Beautiful, well-located apartment in Istanbul

The property is extremely well located, in a relatively quieter street steps from Istiklal and Cihangir. Having a garden terrace was super lovely. Like other reviewers, I wish the table was cleaned more and a little more welcoming with some cushions. The apartment was much bigger than appeared in the photos which was a welcome surprise. Bathroom facilties and heating worked well. Bed was super comfortable and bedroom had blackout blinds in case of the need to sleep longer. Apartment was generally clean and comfortable.

− Pots and pans had nonstick coating that was extremely scratched, also likely due to the tools all being metal: not a good combination and not safe to cook with, so we were disappointed with the kitchen. Bedroom could use lighter privacy blinds that are not completely light blocking so that in addition to the blackout blinds, it could be possible to be in the space with some privacy without being extremely dark. We had to ask to change the iron multiple times, as the first iron was dirty and had only a British plug with no converter, then the second one delivered was also unclean. The host responded promptly each time to fix this. There could be more hangers: a handful of hangers for two people for 5 days is too little. There were a lot of bumps on the walls, as another reviewer had mentioned, that looked strange; I asked if this was mold and the host said it was a paint job that needed to be fixed. I hope that this will be fixed because they looked concerning and paint is coming off of the walls. Cleanliness could be improved a bit, as I saw a couple cobwebs here and there in the apartment from the ceiling, but overall very clean.

A well equipped, clean apartment in a vibrant area of Istanbul. Close to Taksim Square and Galata but in an area that was relaxed and felt safe

− The outdoor terrace was a great addition to the apartment. Location, location, location.

The company offered to move to a different apartment, which was slightly better maintained and cleaner. However, it did lack the comfort of a big terrace and was in a worse location.

− The property was quite run down, all furniture showed drastic signs of wear. The apartment had a bad smell and many pigeons were roosting outside the windows.

What a great apartment! Very spacious, with all I needed for a one week stay. Lovely garden, very comfortable bed an pillows. Just a short walk from public transport. In an area with lots of bars, restaurants, antique shops, little boutique shops and the main Istiklal shoppingstreet. Although in a buzzling area, still very quiet at night. Will definitely come back!

− Wish i could have stayed longer!
