Good location on quiet street and walkable from restaurants

− Building Was under construction. Workers were surprised that we got booked while ‘it is unfinished’, our room had family members of the workers in there when we arrived. The bed spread and pillows were smelly when we asked for a change the changed bedding was dank and unbearable to rest on. We found pantyhose, used water bottles and trash in the crevices of the bed. There were no towels or toilet paper or hand soap and had to ask for it, but there were unused condoms in the drawer. The room was very dirty but the one onsite staff mopped it up. The whole building was smelling of pee or might have been some construction related fumes that smelled like pee. The contact no. was responsive but the corrective actions were bad. While we were outside the door waiting for an uber to get to an event, police stopped right in front of the building to ask us if it was an AirBnB. All in all it was a horrifying experience despite the cheap accommodation. Even for $70 a night you still expect minimum basics which were not found.

It had a bed with a pillow to lay my head on

− It was filthy! I’ve stayed in b&b’s in Ontario, Europe and even South Africa and never experienced this. I know it was just a room to rent, not a B&B but at least our room could have been cleaner. The curtains were reversed and had holes; the walls had plaster patches and hooks where things used to hang; the one closet door was broken off; the bathroom had a broken toilet seat, a dirty counter top with carpenters glue glued across the top, and rusty chalking around the tub. They had no toilet paper or towels to use. The air vent on the floor was so filthy you couldn’t even open it!! And that was just our room! It looked like a frat house or immigrant housing. Under construction? When you walked in the front entry, you walked over a pile of shoes and looked down the hall to a curtain door with a tv blaring. Garbage including pizza boxes piled beside the curtain door. When we finally found our room on the third floor (rooms not numbered clearly) there was garbage out it and someone’s laundry drying over the stair railing!! We did notice we had a smoke alarm in our room (hopefully it was working), but my husband said there were no fire extinguishers on each floor as lawfully required. I’ve booked hotel rooms from Bookings.com and had no problems and have recommended Bookings.com to friends. But I highly recommend the removal of this property from your site until they bring their standards up as it definitely brings your standards down.

Beware Indian Scam: Bio hazard situation with the property.

− Beware fake photos and an Indian scam operation: a serious hygiene and bio hazard due to piles of rubbish all over the building and corridors. Bio hazard due to pile of rotten rubbish and building site debris. BEWARE! The property is a partially renovated building with the entire entrance surrounded by building site debris and rotten bins of garbage. Owners located in India, a virtual phone number in Canada connecting you to an individual called Rajesh NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN AFTER YOU FIND OUT THE CONDITION OF THE PROPERTY DO NOT APPROACH THIS PLACE!

I liked how I had my own bathroom! (the toilet needs tightening, hand soap and available towels)

− Garbage overflowing everywhere, dirty kitchen in morning, overall needs cleaning; loud tv noises from a bedroom without a door (even at 5 am)

Overall it was an okay experience , if in need of a room

Someone was there to welcome me and give me the opportunity to feel comfortable and talk things over .The other residents are very friendly and do their best to make you feel comfortable. There are a lot of people there so it might seem a bit intimidating at first , but very nice people. The bed in the room I rented was also very firm so that’s nice, and my suite had its own washroom , that was also nice .

− I wasn’t aware it was a large facility with many rooms. Did catch my surprise, but it gets the job done
