− This shack should be demolished - not rented as a cabin. Although the landlord was nice, the place was not. Some key issues: geneally run-down, cracked paint and large cracks in door to annex (well, at least we got some ventilation), some old/dirty matresses/pillows, one of the beds was only a thin matress on the floor (at best only suitable for small kid), electrical connection box in shower (granted, it was close to the roof, but still - and it leaves you wonder if there are other electrical hazards), some windows in bedrooms without curtain, no curtain on window in bathroom/shower (the shower is basically in / in front of the window, which luckily is not so large since the second cabin on the same property - which you share the outdoors facilites with (so it might be crowdy down by the sea...) - is close by and has a direct line-of-sight to this window), already clothes in drawers (=less room for ours), fridge already nearly filled with food (=less room for ours), "master" bedroom had no door (only a curtain to the living room - which is a challenge wrt noise), the TV didn't work (granted, the landlord offered to fix it the second day), the cabin is right next to (10-20m) the main road to Risør (so expect traffic noise, including from trucks), the gravel road down to the cabin (from the main road) is VERY steep and bumpy (we where advised - on the day of our arival (!) - to use a AWD car - which we could had we not already been underway for some time (granted, there is a small parking slot at the top of the road - but for us that only helped some as we where traveling with a trailer...)), more shadow on property than expected (the cabin is facing north, with a fairly steep ridge to the south, surrounded by quite some large trees to the west and east), the number of announced beds (8) do not match the size of the dining / kitchen table (so everyone can not eat at the same time - at least not at the same table).

Magical place with amazing views and great host, spent beautiful 4 weeks in the house and absolutely loved it.

− Approximity to the main road can be a bit bothering but overall no issues.

Ligging aan het water en dicht bij Risor. De hut is origineel en kunstig ingericht maar dat weegt niet op tegen het feit dat het rommelig en slecht onderhouden is. Goed uitgeruste keuken met een kleine vaatwasser.

− - bijkomende kosten voor handdoeken en lakens waarover niet op voorhand was bericht - slecht onderhouden zowel binnen als buiten - verduistering in slaapkamer ontbrak, douchekop stuk, licht kan niet uit in badkamer, vochtvlekken in de kinderkamer - de badkamer was het dieptepunt met een wasmachine letterlijk in de douche. Het putje van de douche bevindt zich onder de wasmachine. Onmogelijk ook om dat hygiënisch en netjes te houden.

Die Lage direkt am Wasser und in der Nähe der hübschen Stadt Risør

− Die Betten im Kinderschlafzimmer waren durchgelegen und hart, Wasserschaden an der Wand, defekter Duschkopf, Ausstattung der Küche

Enkel hytte med utsøkt beliggenhet.

Solrik og nydelig beliggenhet ved vannet. Velutstyrt kjøkken. Hyggelig vert. Tilgang til flott brygge.

− Dårlig vedlikeholdt hytte med enkle løsninger som ikke var forskriftsmessig utført. Fikk ikke brukt fryser på kjøkkenet da denne var fylt opp med varer da vi kom. Mat i kjøleskapet som gjorde at vi ikke fikk brukt øverste hylle. Var 2 soverom i hytta + et anneks. Var et ekstra kjøleskap m fryser på annekset men fant ut at dette kun funket når taklyset var på. Ingen trapp for å komme inn på annekset. Savnet puter til utemøbler, ved og litt utstyr som f.eks. en øks til ved. Veldig bratt bakke ned til hytta som bør informeres om på forhånd.

Lovely Retreat

Very friendly host and any additional needs or issues were quickly resolved. Lovely location right at the water side, close to Risør. We felt very welcome.

− The window to the bathroom couldn't be closed (mosquitoes) and the light in the bathroom couldn't be turned off. The plumbing for the washer was a little odd and improvised, but the washing machine itself could be used. There were two bedrooms, one master and one with two bunk beds, none had a door. But we only needed one bedroom anyway. and I have yet to see a Norwegian shower which is fully enclosed and doesn't flood the whole bathroom while in use.
