Ridgeview Villa - Partial loch view♡

Excellent location for outdoor enthusiasts

Lochgoilhead is in a fairly remote section of the western Highlands at the head of Loch Goil, surrounded by mountains and beautiful countryside, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. We enjoyed our stay despite some rather wet weather. Ridgeview Villa is a spacious, modern property, comfortably furnished with two sitting rooms and lots of TVs. The kitchen is well equipped with just about all the utensils needed for cooking and meal preparation. The only thing lacking is an enclosed green space for sitting out if the weather is fine, though it's possible to sit at the front of the property in an open, hard landscaped space.

− The lack of a green enclosed seated area is about the only downside. The village itself has a small shop to cover the basics, and there's another shop at the Drimsynie holiday park nearby, but for someone like me with a gluten allergy, there are limited food options. Fortunately we came prepared for that.

Absolutely loved it. The property was in a beautiful and ethereal location. Clean and aesthetically decorated ineriors. In more than sufficient numbers, all relevant utensils to cook food and cutlery were in the kitchen. Tea bags and sugar sachets were also there. There were more than enough number pillows and towels. Two living rooms were unexpected:-) All TVs were of excellent quality. WiFi was great. Hand wash soap was provided.

− A very small quantity of body wash soap was provided. There was a small quantity of dishwashing liquid and a limited number of dishwashing capsules. There were no capsules or powder for washing clothes. Some potted plants outside the house would have increased its appeal. Since there are no shops nearby and the post office shop closes at 5 pm, it would be appreciated and very convenient if there was at least a small bottle/can of milk.

Nice location, nice local pub when it was open and good opportunity to go on some decent walks. Nice views

− Nowhere really delivers other than the food shop so if you wanted a takeaway you’d have to go get it from a few towns over. Also there was only one pub and it was open maybe 2-3 days of our stay. Would be useful to know which bin takes what as we had to do a little bit of digging on the internet to find out
