The location

− The bannister was loose, the arm of the settee was broken. Much as I appreciate not wanting guests to wear shoes inside it’s a little pointless if the information is in the welcoming pack after you have climbed the stairs. Didn’t like the double bed being against the wall. Also aghast that we had an email after leaving asking for a ten and if we had any concerns to contact them directly so it didn’t impact on their rating.

Perfect town centre getaway in North Dorset. 10/10

I didn’t realise the Hideaway was run by my hairdresser, Jacqui! A lovely period property in the centre of Blandford, lovingly presented with a real quirky and unique layout. We were running buses to the local steam fair so me and a friend stayed in town as it was easier. It was lovely to wake up to the church bells down the road.

− The only thing we can comment about, which was an honest oversite and we did laugh was that there was no loo roll but we grabbed some from the shop. It did give us a good giggle.

Charming apartment.

We had a really nice time here. Great communication from host, nice light spacious lounge and diner, spacious bathroom and a comfy bed in the 2nd bedroom. Only slight negatives for us and is personal preference really but we didn’t find the main bed very comfy and the 3rd bedroom was really small and slanted. Charming property though overall with great location for Blandford.

− The sofa bed in the living room is really uncomfortable to sit on but the armchairs are great. Kitchen roll would have been useful.
