Amazing Jungle house!

Amazing location and setting, unbeatable !!

− Even though it was mentioned on Booking (but in a hidden section which people do not normally check), it was not at all clear that a 4x4 vehicle was required to reach the house. The property offered a transport service for $10 per trip for approximately 1.5 km, which honestly felt excessive. The recommendation I would give to Portasol is to clearly state this, and write it as the first thing in the property description on Booking.

Heel erg mooi gedaan. Volledig gericht op buitenleven. Goed nagedacht over waarom je hier komt: natuur, ontspanning. Pure luxe om op het terras vanuit het zwembad de toekans te zien. Leuk, buiten douchen. En fantastisch gezwommen bij de privé waterval.

− Het bed is vrij klein en de slaapkamer net te compact om in te kunnen bewegen.

A hidden gem, as close to nature as it gets

This place was a dream come true, the view, the serene jungle all around you, the layout and architecture of the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. The owners greeted my husband and myself upon arrival (since they were in town) and showed us around the house. They even left some wine and cake in the fridge for our anniversary, a very nice touch. My favorite features of the house were definitely the outdoor showers, and the kitchen being in a screened patio, it was so chill to have our coffee in the morning and feel the air and listen to nature. At first we were not sure we came to the right place because the guard tower looked so official, we thought it was some off-limits zone. The guy at the gate came out and helped us understand the way around and let us in. It is a bit of an offroad adventure to get to the house, you need 4x4 to get up and down the rugged pebble road. But after going out each day for a week we got used to it. It's a beautiful area! About 20-30min to Quepos and Dominical where you can get some amazing food (Cafe Mono Congo was our favorite). Portasol also hooked us up with a private chef and massage therapists that came to the house for a very special experience all around. I would 100% come back to the same place next time we visit Costa Rica!

− The bathroom door in one room didn't close all the way, and the shower in the other room would not heat up. The "dry" setting on the AC unit would decrease the temp over time to low 60s, I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong but if I changed it to any other mode it would get quite humid in the room. The pool was also very cold and I'm not sure if it could be heated, but I braved it anyway for the experience.
