Quality and condition of house and appliances, location of property for those seeking to be close to nature,particularly birds, neighbours v friendly but keep to themselves.

− Make sure you approach the property from the given directions, advise against going out left onto open and sometimes steep and difficult narrow roads, if you meet other traffic.

Lovely accommodation ina stunning location.

The cottage was well equipped, clean and cosy.

− Wasn't very keen on the water, but they maybe because I have a water filter at home.

Location was beautiful and so close to Coed y brenin. Cottage had every single thing we could think of.

The cottage was very well equipped for all our needs. We especially enjoyed the hamper gifted to us by the hosts.

A perfect place to stay !

There were good instructions emailed in advance, however, there were two key boxes, the obvious one was not the correct key box, and we had to search for the right key box! Parking is just down from the cottage, off the road and the neighbours are friendly. The welcome pack was wonderful!! The cottage is very well equipped! I always bring backup supplies just about every self catering place provide little or nothing of general cleaning materials, not this time! There's a washing machine in the attached outhouse at the back of the cottage, although no drying. The internet is good, but there is limited access in the area outside. The kitchen has just about everything you need. The downstairs double bed is very comfortable (we didn't use the upstairs bedrooms); the under floor heating keeps the cottage nicely warm and the controls can be adjusted accordingly. We didn't use the log burn as it would have been far too warm for us! There are wonderful walks all around the cottage with way markers or information and guides within the cottage to guide you around. The local centre is unmanned, as it closed early in 2025. We used a app 'AllTrails' of many that are available to guide us. The local town Dollegau is around 15 minutes drive and has all the necessary ammenities.

− The dishwasher broke down two nights before the end of the holidays, it wasn't a problem at all, sometimes these things happen. I reported it immediately and Finest Retreats were very quick to respond to deal with the situation, however the cottage is a little remote, so no surprises that it wasn't fixed quickly! So this is not a complaint!

Schönes geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus mit einer sehr guten Ausstattung. In der Küche findet man alles, was man zum Kochen braucht, für die Kleidung gibt es in jedem Schlafzimmer eine Kommode, das Haus war angenehm warm und der Vermieter war sehr gut erreichbar und hat sich um unsere Anliegen gekümmert.

− Entgegen vieler Bewertungen war das Haus leider nicht ausreichend sauber. Es gab viele Staub- und Spinnenweben, die dort nicht erst seit kurzem gewesen sein können und es gab noch einige Spuren vom Vormieter. Die Lage im Grünen an sich war super. Allerdings ist es recht tief und einsam im Wald (es nur gibt einen direkten Nachbarn), was man mögen muss.
