The unit was nice and spacious, well-equipped. Amazing views and the hot tub (although not used by us) is a bonus - plenty of wood to keep it going until it's nice and toasty.

Very nice farm stay. Comfortable beds. Helpful host. Great add amenities ie braai, hot tub, wood burner to warm the cottage. Safe for our pets.

A gem with extraordinary views

Everything about the house was amazing. Lots of space, beautiful views and had everything you needed. Would be great for a small family reunion as there is a communal kitchen, bathrooms, pizza oven, hall and play area for kids.

− The road to the house is gravel road which is a bit annoying to drive when you have a small car.

A genuine slice of farm life magic - Jan is a wonderful host

Jan is an exceptional host - present when you need him, invisible when you don't. The hot tub on the private deck with the river sounds below and sheep on the hills and meadows down below, was pure magic, and the welcome touch of fresh farm eggs, real milk, coffee pods and a Nespresso machine made arrival feel genuinely special. The pizza oven, fishing rod, dam paddle, and ample firewood meant there was always something to enjoy without ever feeling like you had to leave the farm.

− We genuinely struggled to find fault with this stay. Cell signal and internet connectivity are very limited in this area, which is worth knowing in advance - though for us, it was exactly what we were after and added to the experience of switching off completely.

Peacefulness on a working sheep farm

Loved the peacefulness and fresh air. Our host was excellent. If you are a gravel/dirt road lover this is the place for you. Enjoyed Grootvadersbosh, Barrydale, Stillbaai, Vermaaklikheid and Puntjie all accessible via dirt/ gravel roads. Beautiful scenery.
