Check-in was straightforward . The owner bought a kettle that I asked for! Modern bathroom ... With washing machine. Located in historic centre.

− On arrival: Owners impatient for payment ... and to know exactly when I'd be leaving. Garden / patio had dirty table and chairs. I didn't feel at home. Old-fashioned feel, as the name suggests. Internet was intermittent (apparently a problem in the whole town).

First off Marco and Giulia are wonderful hosts. Highly recommend anyone to stay here. The apartment is clean, fully equipped, cannot beat the location, close to everything. Bathroom is huge with plenty of hot water. Your own private patio to enjoy sitting or eating outside.

The Casa dei Nonni is an absolutely wonderful property. The host went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The apartment is spacious and truly has everything one might need. The host provided breakfast and even fruit juices. The location is excellent, right in the historical center. I loved that the host lived quite close by and was therefore available in case of anything. The property is cute, homey, and charming. It looks like a typical Italian home.

− The property is in the historical center, which is up on the hill. It is a pretty steep 15-20 minute walk from the train station. You can either use a longer winding road, or a more direct route with multiple staircases if you choose to walk. Had I been more cognizant of how steep the walk is, I would have definitely gotten a taxi or bus from the train station. (The hosts also provide transportation but on that particular day it was not possible.) Unfortunately on both evenings of my stay there was loud music playing at the nearby Plaza, which was very audible in the apartment. This is of course no fault of the host, and it is my understanding that it is usually quiet there. I was told by someone in the town that it was for political reasons, so it is unlikely that this would be repeated, but bring earplugs just in case if you are sensitive to noise. Everything else was wonderful.
