− This booking experience was traumatic. 😨😨I brought my mom to Cagayan de Oro for a relaxing staycation, but it quickly turned into a stressful ordeal. I booked and paid through Booking.com and sent several messages before and on the day of check-in, but received no response. After several phone calls, the person in charge finally answered and informed me that the previous guest had extended their stay due to an “emergency” and asked me to cancel my reservation. I even offered to cancel if they could immediately refund my payment so we could book another place, but I was told that their bank account had a zero balance and they couldn’t process the refund. 🤣🤣 To make things even more confusing, she asked where I got her phone number when it was clearly posted on the Booking.com listing. She also insisted that she had sent messages, but I never received anything no email, no app notification, nothing. 🥴🥴 Since I had already paid and the booking had a no-refund policy if I canceled, I refused to cancel the reservation. 😏😏 Thankfully, we were eventually accommodated, but this entire experience caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen to other guests in the future. ✌🏻✌🏻😇😇

Comfortable Room, Just a Few Minor Issues.

The location is really the best part — super convenient. The room itself was nice, clean, and comfortable.

− *What could be better:* The internet was a bit slow and we weren’t able to use streaming services, even though they were listed. There was also a small leak in the shower hose that made draining a bit slow. Overall it was a decent stay, and with a few fixes it could be excellent.

Fair value, but prepare for the worse.

The location is really good, along with the view.

− 1. The owner didn’t tell us the room number, thus we wait outside the apartment building for half an hour just to check with the owner (which is not really attentive due to she having bad network) 2. The place has some number of cockroaches. 3. The room doesn’t seem like the room we booked for, it was a studio and the owner asked us to just use the master room. 4. Reaching owner with in-app message is not really useful, you might most likely have to call them, and for international travelers without local number, this would be a huge problem.

Decorations on the walls.

− The bidet was broken, and shower hose was rusted out and leaking flooding the bathroom. Small bed and cheap hard pillows. Messaged the owner with no reply. We extended our stay 6 more days and found a super nice condo, and everything worked. Her name is Sheila, and she has many condos. Rent from her, she invested money and time in her condos at the loop. She's there every day taking care of her condos.

Unable to contact the owner no replies from message requests,only two lifts working waiting for ages,a late check in by 30 minutes,shower not working,main water causing a big noise on being turned on,no water gun at side of toilet,but for value for money you pay for what you get,not worth anymore but location excellent,a pity the other things weren't put right,WiFi was good only dropped out a few times,and instruction booklet would be good for the room,it took all night to find the light switch for the balcony and the WiFi password was scribbled on a postage stamp hidden behind the wiring
