Overall, the stay was disappointing, and we wouldn’t choose to return.

Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Had smart tv in the lounge area.

− The sofa was very uncomfortable, which was disappointing as you’d expect a holiday property to have comfortable seating for relaxing in the evenings. Although the property is advertised as sleeping six people, the small sofa only seats around three people, making it impractical for larger groups. The property could also have been a little cleaner, although it wasn’t terrible. On arrival, we were also given the wrong lockbox code and had to wait around 20 minutes for someone to call us back with the correct one. After a long day at work and travelling, this wasn’t an ideal start to our stay. Overall, the property has potential, but these issues affected our experience enough that we wouldn’t choose to book it again.

Great location, The bedrooms, ensuite and bathroom and kitchen are all lovely. The lounge not so comfortable for 4 people (see below re sofa). Whole house generally clean and fresh with the exception of some fur / fluff / on the floor near door frames and bottom of the stairs (and a squashed spider in bedroom 1 LOL)- nothing that a detail tool on a vacuum cleaner wouldn't sort out.

− The previous occupants had taken the parking permit pass with them. I contacted the owners by telephone - they were unable to get a replacement to us immediately but they were very sympathetic and offered up 3 alternative solutions with any associated costs to be borne by them. This was obviously out of their control but perhaps it is something the cleaner could alert them to between occupants? There were no teaspoons or tea towels which was very odd given how well the kitchen is otherwise equipped. The sofa in the lounge looks the part but is incredibly uncomfortable to sit on - the support is sagging and needs replacing. and lastly... There was a very large but squashed spider on the wall between bedroom one and the ensuite (and a mark on the ceiling not far away which looks like an earlier attempt to squash it). The vacuuming needed a bit more attention - see above.

Disappointing due to not being able to get into property at the time agreed after a long journey.

Good location for amenities, close to lovely park, shops and eateries.

− On quite a busy road, with a Royal Mail depot just down the road, which means you can hear traffic and people walking past. The sofa and the chair in the living room are quite hard and the sofa very small. Only enough seating for 3 unless sitting at the table. Upon arrival there was a miscommunication between owners and cleaners and it was like walking into student accommodation, and smelt really bad. I can't believe people can leave a property in this state. This was unfortunate as after a 4 hour drive we had to go out and find something to do whilst we waited for the house to be cleaned. The cleaners were great though. No dishwasher. (should have double checked this fact to be fair, but thought as luxury refurbished property it would be as standard)

Warm house during December Easy access on arrival Ensuite was very clean

− I booked this venue as it had a downstairs bedroom for a 93 year old, however I couldn't park the car near the venue, also the furniture was not comfortable in the lounge, the sofa needs updating The pillow and sheets had hair and eyelashes on which made me question if it had been changed 🤔 and that wasn't nice at all Couldn't use the bath as the plug doesn't go down into the plug hole no matter how we tried And no fault of venue but barking dogs kept us awake, next door and outside all times of the night Couldn't find any information about the house or things to do in the area Really disappointed 😞
