This was my second stay at Hachi, and just like last year, it felt like coming home. From the moment I arrived, everyone at Hachi made me feel incredibly welcome. They don't just treat their guests like customers—they treat them like family, and that's something truly special. Just like last year, every facility was excellent. The shower rooms, powder room, laundry area, dormitory, and especially the lounge where guests can connect with one another were all spotless and thoughtfully maintained. But what makes Hachi unique is that it's much more than just clean. The handmade furniture, crafts, decorations, and overall design make the entire guesthouse feel like a work of art. Every corner reflects the owners' creativity, warmth, and attention to detail. I am so grateful that I discovered Hachi last year. It's no longer just a guesthouse to me—it has become my second home. I already can't wait to come back again. Thank you to everyone at Hachi for another unforgettable stay!

Absolutely loved it

A beautiful place I can warmly recommend to anyone! The rooms were comfortable and spacious, all facilities were cleaned daily and everything was well taken care of. There was a homey atmosphere, which made it very easy to relax and settle in. The staff was very nice and helpful too! The accomodation is easy to reach by bus and the location is great with shops, restaurants and multiple attractions only a few minutes away. At night, the area is very quiet. The view is amazing as well, and it was great to sit in the living room and be able to see Mt. Fuji through the window. The free bikes were also a great way to get around and explore the lake. Breakfast is optional and you do have to pay extra, but you get your money's worth. Overall, if you're looking for an uncomplicated, comfortable stay with a great view and great people, this is it!

− The bicycles don't have a gearshift, which makes going uphill quite hard. However, when going around Lake Kawaguchiko, there's no need to worry, since the streets are mostly flat with only very slight incline.

Staff was very nice, check-in and out was very smooth. I would recommend stay here, they have bicycles free to use.
