Enjoyed our week at Tyg Cottage but won't be returning.

The cosy cottage was spotlessly clean and modern, the bed was firm and comfortable ,the shower was great and the cottage was in a lovely quiet spot tucked away in a court yard, Grewelthorpe is a beautiful village with a lovely duck pond. There are some lovely towns to visit not too far away.

− Our main complaint was no live TV, Not much storage in the kitchen, and the problem with the bed getting in and out, the bedroom is too small for a king size bed, and although the shower was great it ran cold if you lingered too long, We enjoyed our stay but at £580.02 it was a bit pricy for such a small cottage with no outdoor space (garden).

Location was great near to all the places we wanted to visit.lovely walk in grewlthorpe too.lovely cosy cottage.

− Although wasent in the cottage much as out all day most days,found the tv a bit confusing only seem to get certain things on it and no freeview channels at all.

A very well equipped cottage in a peaceful location.

− Had difficulty finding the cottage as it was dark when we arrived, would be helpful to advise it is through the archway of the pub. As the bed is up against the wall, if the person needs to get up in the night they have to climb over the other person. A bed with no frame at the end would enable the person to get out of the bottom of the bed without disturbing the other person. A draught excluder for the front door would be good as very draughty. A bit more attention to cleaning, the shelf in the fridge was not clean, very dusty banister and bed lights and someone’s sock under the bed. Disliked receiving a text at 7am on the morning of departure, reminding us to vacate at 10am and advising us to leave the property as we found it otherwise we might get an extra charge for cleaning. All this information had been previously supplied and it felt a bit aggressive.

The property was very clean and the bed was comfortable and it was very quiet.

− Lack of live Tv, we didn’t have any tv at all until Monday as the remote was not working and then you can only watch iPlayer for any live tv. Disappointing as not described on site. Much smaller than thought on sight in the main living area.
