Good value, nice location

8.0

Location. Visiting morning flock of Canadian geese. Able to pick fruit from plum, apple & pear trees. Fire pit available & wood provided. Extra rain boots to borrow if you want to beach comb in the muck while the tide is out. They provide kayaks & life jackets. Good TV selection with Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube etc.

We rented the blue loft studio. There is a small love seat that folds out into a twin size sleeper sofa. No extra sheets were provided. Just a couple of blankets. You have to rearrange furniture to extend the sofa. All in all, it was a good value & and a nice weekend retreat for my daughter and I. The fire pit & water access are not ADA convenient. A bit overgrown & I docked a point because I didn't see any Alpacas. Also docked a point because there was no view from the loft. For the price, these things can be overlooked. I would stay again.

I enjoyed the beauty of the area, but wish the surrounding grounds were better maintained.

Beautiful location, fruit trees with fruit.

Confusing instructions on getting the key to the room. I checked in the night before and told key would be in the door. Got there and there was a lock box on the door. I went to my email and they had notified me after 8 am that there was a code for the lockbox . This worked. Frustrated and anxious at my arrival. The WiFi instructions were backwards. Two WiFi choices. The guest option correct. Not the hyphenated option which was supposed to be the correct choice. There was a large 20 + foot trailer filled with guest trash behind the top building. Animals had been ripping into the garbage bags and trash was strewn about by the trailer. The property looked in need of some pruning of weeds by the hot tub and berry canes with prickers on the deck. All the beautiful fruit trees need pruning on the property. The grass on the hill below the buildings was long and seemed neglected. There were no Alpacas. The kayaks were dirty and filled with puddled water. Life vests were strewn about. There seemed to be a level of disorder about the lower yard area. Trash had not been removed recently from the fire pit area. Fallen Apple's strewn about. The room windows by the bed had no screens. The high ones on the wall opposite the bed dud. It was impossible to cross ventilate the room without allowing bugs inside. The air conditioner was the only option and extremely noisy and I had to wear earplugs in order to sleep. The windows were dirty and needed cleaning from the outside.

Uniformly disappointing

5.0

Our little place had no view, that was disappointing. The grounds are not attractive, generally overgrown. The kitchen area has a bathroom sink rather than a kitchen sink. There was only one cup and only one glass. In the bathroom there was no floor mat or shower mat. The initial instructions to get into our place were inaccurate as to accessing the apartment. Therefore we needed to call to get new instructions and the phone number we had was inaccurate. To sum it up, it was an expensive place with no view. Just stay in town air you want to see a blank wall

We had a very disappointing experience at the property and our 4th of July weekend was ruined

1.0

We booked a property in Shelton for the 4th of July weekend, but the listing was highly misleading and the conditions were unacceptable. The unit was much smaller than advertised, lacked key amenities (no living room, stove, or balcony), and shared spaces like the hot tub were noisy and crowded. We couldn’t stay there snd left right away.

Exceptional

10.0

We loved it!! It was peaceful and quiet, there was a hot tub and oysters and alpacas as promised! A great little oasis for my partner and I to spend Christmas away from the city. We grilled a beautiful steak dinner with the outdoor grill on Christmas Eve. The host was super helpful and friendly and helped us with any questions. Exactly what we needed, would stay again!
