A tropical paradise; stunning house, pool, garden♡

It was a beautiful stay with warm and welcoming hosts, though with a few practical issues.

The host and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming. Any questions I had before and during my stay were answered promptly. Jay and his family were lovely—always polite, helpful, and kind. We even got locked out once, and Jay came as quickly as he could with the spare key. The house itself is stunning and beautifully kept. I also loved the location—close to a main road with plenty of food places, shops, and conveniences nearby.

− We were told upon arrival that electricity charges needed to be paid separately, which I wish had been mentioned clearly at the time of booking to avoid the surprise. The air conditioning in the master bedroom wasn’t very effective—the room still felt warm even with both the AC and fan running. As the property is surrounded by greenery, there were insects and mosquitoes around; unfortunately, I did get a few bites and some allergic reactions.

− Please read my post before coming here. Before I arrived, my friend came before me and asked if they could stay for a while, but the owner said that since they had a contract with me, no one else could check in, but if my friend brought cash, it was okay. After his contradictory response, I booked another hotel for a few hours. But regardless of this, I will evaluate. They said that they would register a card and pay the no show fee with the card, but when I arrived, they only accepted cash. I was told that they would charge a cleaning fee per day, but they only clean when I check in and check out. If I wanted cleaning, he said to go to the hotel. On the 3rd day from the day I checked in, I asked the owner that I had used the same towels for 3 days, and he stupidly replied that I had used them for 3 days when I had arrived 2 days ago. They said that if I wanted towels, I should have gone to the hotel. Even though I did not say anything bad about my friend staying, the owner told me that I was upset and could not help. He showed his stupidity of judging his guests. They said they would change the pool water once every two days, but they left it for 3 days and the water turned green. We asked and they changed it. I have no bad intentions towards Jay. I think he followed the owner's orders. The one who made it the hardest was not the owner. I encountered rats 3 times in 4 days here. Kitchen, living room, 2nd floor room. I was so scared because I had never seen rats in Korea, but I couldn't get any help. Don't come here.

The house is open and beautiful and has plants, which makes the house really good. Jay was really nice, friendly and supported our trip showing amazing places in Sri Lanka.
