Would highly recommend just be prepared the shops keep their own hours if you’re eating out.

10.0Warm reception by host, perfect location, lovely rural and harbour views, spacious and superior facilities, great wood burner fire for the cool evening. Everything about this place is first rate and I highly recommend it to those travelling in this area and looking for a quiet, peaceful rural retreat in a historic NZ area. Even the chapel itself is a part of that history. We could almost feel the preence of those who worshipped here a century and more ago.
− I hesitate to even mention this, and I do so simply as a helpful suggestion (not to be published). I had some issues getting the TV to work on local channels. It would be good to have an instruction sheet for this. Eventually I worked it out, but instructions would have made that task easier and shorter!
Exceptional place for partners to stay. Couldn’t be improved upon.

Spannende Unterkunft in einer alten Kapelle
9.0Eine herrliche alte Kapelle aus Kauriholz in tollem Zustand. Viel Platz, hochwertiges Bett, schnelles Internet, große Küche mit allen notwendigen Dingen. Großer Kühlschrank, zwei Außenterrassen, tolle Blicke über den Fluss und das Land. Fairer Preis für die gebotene Leistung.
− Die Gegend ist wirklich sehr abgelegen, und ohne Auto ist man verloren. Der nächste (kleine) Laden ist ca. 4km entfernt, ebenso wie ein Cafe, das allerdings gegen Mittag schließt. Restaurants gibt es gar nicht, da muss man die Fähre nehmen. Und Achtung, es wird nachts kalt, die Isolierung ist nicht gut.
Wow! Highly recommend staying in this very unique place - it’s an experience in itself!
9.0The chapel was stunningly renovated with all the amenities - full kitchen, bedroom with en-suite, washing machine, plenty of hot water, cute deck with outdoor chairs, TV, WiFi connection… Everything was so well thought out and lovely. All the positive reviews are real!
