Ocean Front Villa 4 Studio♡

Despite my "did not likes" I would highly recommend Villa Illusions.

Location, terrace / balcony, essentials plus were there

− Ants. Windows needing cleaning to see through. Blinds need major dusting/cleaning. Because checkout is at 11am, a place to store luggage while still on the island would be great because the ferry was much later in the day.

Exceptional views and close enough to the village

Lovely accommodation and very responsive host. Upon arrival we were advised there had been an issue with the villa we initially booked and they automatically accommodated us in a different one. Very easy instructions to check in, the property is a 5 minute drive from the ferry / village. Free parking in front of the property and well paved roads, so a golf cart is enough. Would definitely repeat!

Great location and view, loved the hammock and outdoor space. The space was simple and functional. The staff was accommodating and they worked with me on details to extend my stay. They were polite and friendly. There is parking in front of the place, easy to access via stairs.

Stunning views, top location and super cute apartment.

The location is spectacular, and the house/apartment is super cute. My husband and I stayed almost a week in the studio 4, which has a beautiful, large private terrace with stunning views of the bay, and we really enjoyed it 🥰 It is super close to the town, and parking is available just below the building. We rented a buggy, but other guests had jeeps and there was enough space for all of us. I especially enjoyed the company of the rooster and a few hens, that came to visit daily and ended up being kind of like our pets for the whole stay 🤩 Actuallt, we really loved the interaction with the local fauna in general. It makes the Culebra experience even more special.

− The shower is quite low, which makes it a bit uncomfortable for tall (ish) people, and the water temperature is rather hot even when turning the faucet to the cold side. We brought our own towels just in case, and ended up using them cause the ones in the apartment weren't totally clean (we found some stains and decided not to use them). That said, I think that overall, the cleanliness could be better 🙂

I liked the location of the place. The views were great and I loved the patio.

− I'm sorry to have to say this, but I was very disappointed with the room. When I first walked in, the first thing I saw was long hairs on the pillow closest to the door. I also didn’t feel the sheets were changed. The bed was very badly made and I slept on my beach towels. I also didn’t appreciate the fact that there was a very moldy book on one of the shelves. That is insanitary and very unpleasant. The detergent bottle was open and had detergent leaking out. I did not feel comfortable in the room and it was not cheap. Thank god for the patio and view. I have photos of all the items that I mentioned here, hairs, moldy book etc. I am writing this bc I feel you need to do better in the future. I am not sure what happened, but the room bneeds more TLC. Please let me know how I can send the pictures as evidence. Maria.
