Minibreak to meet up with family
10.0Got relatives in Milnthorpe so purposely chose a site near to them. We thought the lodge was lovely. Great communication from the owners prior to arrival and information left in the lodge was useful. Amenities in the lodge suited our needs and the site was so peaceful. The girls enjoyed being in the lake and myself and the dogs enjoyed our dog walks. There's lots to do in the surrounding area. We visited Wildlife Oasis where my niece works, had a chippy tea at the famous Arnside chippy, the fish and chips were worth queuing for 30 minutes. We enjoyed a trip to Bay View garden centre and bought a few items. We also indulged in a delicious lunch which catered for gluten free needs so a big tick for us. Weather was fabulous and we could sit outside the lodge and top up our tans. 10 out of 10 for our mini break.

8.0Lodge was well equipped Lounge was comfortable Bedding was extremely comfortable for guests (particularly in the middle bedroom) plenty of wardrobe and drawer space
− insufficient instructions on how to get hot water when the radiators were turned off wifi dropped out on many occasions wasn't clean on patio door fixings (cobwebs for example) and the patio needed a sweep Travel cot mattress was a bit grubby

9.0Great location, clean and well-equipped. Great value for money! The hosts were very accommodating with a last-minute extension to our stay.
− The water went off a few times for about 30-60 mins at a time, we assumed due to some works that were taking place just outside the park (large parts of the road being resurfaced). It didn't affect us, however, and I'm sure it was a one-off.
