Not a lot to be honest. Most things you need to manage for the week were there or half there, so you coped with what was available.

− The only place to hang your close was in the back of the cleaning Cupdoard, which was full of stuff, washing machine bags yellow, blue and cleaning chemicals that your clothes would hang over, on a rail on the end wall, coat hangers provide but for me impossible to reach over the washing machine even after moving the hoover. On the right side of said cleaning cupboard/ wardrobe were 3 pin hooks that fell out when you put your clothes on them. I have already pointed out to owners about the freezer compartment being brocken and clogged with ice so unable to use. The smell of apartment on the ground floor smoking cannabis out side was disgusting. The gate was never locked by people who live there. Opposite and on floor below had a domestic argument with shouting, women outside crying and pleading to be let in went on all morning. Next door to us loud music played so loud one night we could not hear the tv on full volume. As for the entrance to the apartment, all I can say is absolutely disgusting rubbish everywhere, food waste with flies littered that you had to walk through every day. And because the gate was open the grounds to the staircase the same. This should not be a holiday let non of the others were they were all rented not apartment's. The area is full of either drug addicts or alcoholics. Not a safe place to walk on your own at night. Rough sleepers who were drunk outside the entrance gate. This is NOT close to the beach and we walked it only once it took 40 mins and a very unsavory experience that was. The only positive was it was a short walk to the bus station and railway station. Sorry but for £641 I was I felt robbed. We went out all day everyday to get away from this place.

Grundsätzlich ist die Unterkunft sauber und so, wie auf den Fotos abgebildet und auch der Aussensitzplatz wäre schön.

− Leider hat die Wohnung schon bessere Tage gesehen: Das Eisfach im Kühlschrank ist nicht schliessbar, da der Henkel abgebrochen ist. Im Kühlschrank hatte es noch Salatstückchen der Vormieter, der Backofen und der Aussensitzplatz haben dringend eine Reinigung nötig. Als wir das Erste Mal die Dusche benutzt haben, hatten wir die Wandhalterung der Dusche in der Hand. Der Rest war sauber. Grundsätzlich ist es ziemlich ruhig, am Wochenende hatten wir dermassen Lärm, von einer der Wohnungen unterhalb, dass an Schlafen nicht zu denken war. Die Wohnung ist nicht in der besten Gegend Bournemouth's gelegen, sie ist zwar in einer abgeschlossenen Siedlung (die Türe war zwar meistens offen), aber es kann unangenehm sein, wenn man auf dem Nachhauseweg am Abend von Prostituierten und Drogenabhängigen angesprochen wird. Es hat natürlich nicht geholfen, dass wir an den heissesten Juni-Tagen Englands in dieser Dachwohnung waren und an Fensterschliessen nicht zu denken war - einfach daran denken, dass es im Sommer sehr heiss werden kann. Die Wohnung ist für das was sie bietet schlichtweg zu teuer. Es war die teuerste und doch schlechteste Unterkunft unserer zweiwöchigen England-Reise.

The positives were that the bed was comfortable and the bedding and towels were clean, which is really important to us.

− We stayed at Coates Apartments for one night and paid around £130. From the photos and the high review score, we expected something much more special, so we were quite disappointed overall. The positives were that the bed was comfortable and the bedding and towels were clean, which is really important to us. However, the cleanliness of the apartment itself was not up to standard. I clean Airbnbs myself, so I know what should be expected, and unfortunately the flat looked dirty and poorly maintained. The balcony area also didn’t look anything like the photos, and the outside area was cluttered with neighbours’ bikes and rubbish, which made the property feel untidy and unwelcoming. The apartment was also very hot, and we weren’t particularly impressed with the surrounding area either. Overall, the biggest disappointment was definitely the cleanliness, especially considering the high review ratings. Sadly, we wouldn’t rate it higher than 5/10.
