A fantastic getaway
9.0The host was very kind and helpful, told us everything we needed to know and more. The house is located right next to a river, in which you can swim, fish, or take out a boat for a ride. The outdoor toilet was tidy and there was no bad smell coming from it. Furthermore, there is a grill to cook your meat on right next to the house as well. The house itself was cozy and had a fireplace, which wasnt difficult to light up. In cupboards we found every necessity we needed: cups, mugs, plates and bowls, knives, spoons and forks, salt, soda and sugar. Nearest store is located roughly 20 minutes away, and nearest city - Daugavpils - about 30-40 minutes depending on your route. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and positive stay, and we definetly plan on coming back next summer.
− The shower isn't in great shape and needs a repair. House tends to get a little bit cold during the nights, so you either have to keep the fireplace lit, or turn on the electricity-powered mini stove to warm up the room. The bed on the first floor is uncomfortable. Sauna on the first floor is difficult to heat up for a sauna-like effect, and from our experience, at it's peak felt like a hot sunny day.
