The apartment was clean and not far from Ajax Go Station

− I rarely leave negative reviews, but I also rely heavily on reviews when booking accommodations, so I want to give an honest account of our stay. The day before we arrived, I messaged to confirm our reservation because we hadn't received any check-in instructions. I was told we would receive the access codes the next day. Instead, we received a message telling us to call or text when we arrived. We texted about five minutes before arrival, then again when we got there, but received no response. We called, reached voicemail, then called again and eventually someone answered. They seemed surprised that we hadn't received the code yet and sent it while we were standing outside. From the start, it felt like they had forgotten we were arriving. The listing shows a living room with a couch. This room is directly after you enter the appartment. When we arrived there was a sign on that room stating it was a shared space. The listing did not clearly indicate that the room was a shared space. This came as a surprise when we arrived. We arrived about 45 minutes after check-in, yet all of the floors were still wet as though they had just been mopped. The unit itself was free of dust and generally clean, but the walls throughout were heavily scuffed and the space looked quite worn. We quickly realized there was no toilet paper. When I messaged, I was told they had run out and someone would bring some shortly. Since we had arrived nearly an hour after check-in, I was surprised this hadn't already been taken care of or that we weren't at least warned beforehand. After waiting another hour, we called the second contact number. The owner came downstairs with a roll of toilet paper. At that point we also discovered there were only two towels for four guests. We were told to check a bedroom closet, where we found two additional old towels. The dish soap dispenser was also empty, so we had to refill it ourselves. The basement has very little soundproofing.

Good value for price, No problems.

The place has two room and living room plus kitching and bathroom…the place is very big fit 6 people,very comfortable

Kitchen was well stocked with plates and cutlery and was clean.

− 1. Ceiling tiles in the hallway had been held up by tape and the tape was loose so the tiles were hanging. I could see up above the tiles. My friend felt her throat closing and had to leave after a few minutes as there must have been mold or some other allergen. We couldn’t stay 2. The grade entrance outside was full of water from the recent rain. When I notified the owner they questioned it and never even came to look at what the issue was. Obviously it is a recurring issue with rain but they acted like they did not know about it. I put my blanket over it to soak up some of the water so our feet would not get soaked going in and out. 3. The closet in the front entrance was very messy and full of things that were disorganized. When I messaged the owners I was told that was not part of the apartment- but it definitely was. 4. The one bedroom had sheets and a thin comforter that were totally different colours and styles - it was obvious that not much was spent on providing matched items or more than 2 thin pillows on each bed. 5. I messaged the owners for more pillows and for ice cube trays as there were none. They said they would bring some and hours went by and they did not. 6. There were lots of scuff marks on the walls and it just looked like only the bare minimum had been done, furniture is old and nothing was fresh or bright about it. 7. They provide a washer and dryer BUT the house rules said they can only be used if staying one week or more - why bother providing it? Very very disappointing and left by 7 pm and got a hotel - paid top price because of last minute hotel booking
