Very pleasant house close to the sea and also a number of golf courses. Beautiful garden and very cosy house. Kitchen was very well equipped and beds were also comfy.

A return visit to a hidden gem in a tranquil setting. It's a great place to recharge. There is no noise other than birdsong - the house is adjacent to Sandwich Bay Bird Sanctuary, and surrounded by fields and golf courses. Wildwoods is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay and perfect for family gatherings (sleeps 7),with its large, enclosed garden where children can roam safely. The very long beach is a few minutes' walk, pebbles at one end and sand at the other. On a clear day, you can see France across the channel! My personal treat at the end of the day is to walk up and watch the sunset. The house is supremely comfortable, with good quality beds, a comfortable and attractive sitting room, great summer outdoor furniture in the garden for outside dining, sunbeds, plus a very well- equipped kitchen.

Gorgeous stay, so cosy and comfortable

Stayed here for 4 nights and would’ve loved to stay longer. The kitchen was so well equipped - everything we could possibly need was provided. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and beds and pillows were comfy. The decor was also so charming and felt very homey. The garden is truly gorgeous with plenty of space for the kids to run around and an outdoor space for an evening drink. Location was also great, we loved our walks to the beach every morning and the town was also close by. Will definitely be back here!

Peaceful and relaxing by the beach and the English countryside

Had a lovely stay at Wildwoods. Initially I saw there was a bad review, but I jumped over to air bnb to check out the reviews for wildwoods on there. They were all extremely positive so I decided to book and I’m very glad I did. The house is beautifully done and all the bedrooms are very comfy and cosy, and the garden was stunning to look at. The beach is a 5 min walk just down the road, and the shops of the nearest town Sandwich are only a 10 minute drive away and it has some great pubs as well. If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in the English countryside then this is a great spot! I’ll certainly be coming back we loved it.

Garden was big but no good in the winter

− The property had mouse droppings everywhere, we contacted the owners they offered to set 1 trap under the sink, it was Christmas Eve and one trap wasn’t going to manage the problem, the house was very dusty , there were empty bottles under the coffee table , we even found a spray paint can in the living room. Foolishly I accepted one day’s payment refunded as I didn’t want to appear difficult on reflection had it not been Christmas i would have left immediately.
