9.0Sweet Dory hosted us with care and was friendly. The house is well kept. They do not serve breakfast, which for the price is reasonable. This helps the rest of Potter with business. Everyone is town knows Dory.
Charming, reasonablably priced & a decent place to stay in "the middle of nowhere" along I-80, i
9.0We were not expecting breakfast. Maybe I had misread the description on booking.com. However, there was homemade banana bread and a variety of hot beverage fixings out for us. The decor was charming with some very fun details. Our hostess was so friendly. I would want to stay there again because I would feel like I was going to get to see an old friend.
− I would have enjoyed it, had there been more information about the railroad workers, how they happened to need a place to stay in that location, etc. to play up the history of the house.

9.0We stayed at Dori's during the Panhandle Frontier Finds weekend. The location was perfect. Dori's place is full of charm, history and soul. She is a great hostess, and even offered us a piece of freshly baked strawberry-rhubarb pie during our stay. If you like old houses, eclectic decor and authenticity, this place is highly recommended. Also, we opted for breakfast at the Sundry. It was legit old-school home cooking. Farm fresh eggs and thick sliced bacon.
− No complaints. As some reviews have mentioned, you are sharing a space with other people, so you need to manage bathroom expectations accordingly. This takes Dori's place into traditional bed and breakfast and/or hostel vibes. I think that aspect is reflected in the price. We had zero problems. If you need to stay in Western Nebraska for a night or two, Dori's place is a great value.
Comfortable, charming, and clean house refueled us!
10.0This house is a must see! The antiques are well chosen and unique. The lighting and lamps were truly special. If you love repurposing, you will get great ideas here! The host was knowledgeable and fun!
− I’d like to visit in spring or summer because I think the front porch would be inviting. We were in Potter when it was chilly so we stayed inside the cosy house.

9.0It was awesome to be able to stay in a place that was unique and charming while still being affordable. I doubt there are many places to stay in that town so it's really great the owners don't jack the prices up so people have somewhere to sleep.
− Everything was clean, quiet, comfortable, and cute! I can't think of anything that didn't meet my expectations.
