The 'Hidden Gem' property is a 1-bedroom (small) house in a converted building with a parking space outside the accommodation. Instructions for access and how to use the heating / hot water / wi-fi etc (and where to park and dispose of rubbish on departure), were both timely and clear / excellent. Facilities were good too - any time I looked for something I found it ! The bed was comfortable and the bedroom had a TV + thick curtains to block out the light, important for me as I am a light sleeper. There was plenty of hot water and the property had good heating options. The bathroom was modern and clean, with adequate storage for toiletries. The accommodation was at the back of a converted building and was both quiet and felt private.

− The stairs to the bedroom and bathroom at 'Hidden Gem' are very steep and narrow - nothing that can be done about this, but something to be aware of for anyone with mobility or stability / dizziness issues. There is no dishwasher - no problem for me but again, something for guests to note. Now that spring is on the way, winter debris and some litter that has collected / blown in around the property should be swept and cleared to create a better initial impression and to encourage guests to sit at the table / chairs outside the property.

A convenient place to stay if visiting Sheffield. Cosy but comfortable.

It was cosy and compact with off street free parking. It was convenient for staying in Sheffield. It served the purpose for what we needed. Communication with the Stay Angels was good. Had a tea pot! Shower was good. Bed was comfy. Neighbourhood was quiet with the lovely sound of an owl in the evenings!

− Sofa wasn’t the most comfy, but was OK. A bigger saucepan would have been helpful for cooking our filled pasta - we cooked it in two goes. It was a bit cold when we first arrived, but once we had worked out the heating it soon warmed up. I couldn’t see a plug for the bath - didn’t matter for us as we are shower people but a bath would have been tricky without a plug. The shower gel dispenser was almost empty - but we had brought our own supplies too so that was OK, but if there is one there it would be good to keep it topped up. We couldn’t identify the right bin from the instructions - maybe the bins have changed?

All the booking after booking.com was difficult, system wouldn’t let me in twice and the code for the key was wrong from
