Easter break stay with great hiking access, including Scafell Pike

+ The location is fantastic — very close to multiple walking paths and great hikes. + Only a short drive to the car park for Scafell Pike, which was perfect for our plans. + Spacious bathroom with a large shower. + Comfortable beds. + Beautiful views right from the bed. + Outdoor seating area for meals. + Well-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher.

− As mentioned in other reviews, the floor was quite wet on arrival. The host explained it was due to late cleaning, but since this has been noted before, it does seem like something that could be improved or prevented. In better weather it might not matter as much, but on rainy days it’s a bit inconvenient. There are quite a lot of printed rules displayed around the property. While understandable, it did make the atmosphere feel slightly less relaxed. Most guests are likely to behave responsibly without needing so many reminders. Overall, these are relatively minor issues and should be easy to address. The place is definitely worth considering, especially for its location and access to great hikes.
