Stunning house and view, but you need to know the layout to make sure it is suitable

This beautiful old home has 4 (?) different rooms for accomodation plus the shared areas of kitchen/dining/sitting and verandah/terrace and (beautiful!) garden areas. I can only speak for the room called Puna Perch. It is a little upstairs attic room accessed by narrow outside steps from the main house area. The room is simple, sweet and small with lovely windows overlooking garden and sea. The double bed is comfortable. There is a tiny sink in the corner. To sit on the magnificent front verandah-you really couldn't do better in the Mediterranean. The garden is beautifully maintained and the view out to the water is very pretty. The jasmine and wisteria were in flower (mid October) and added a lovely romance to the house. The interior is tastefully decorated-and even has a grand piano to play if you are so inclined. The kitchen is nice and tidy and had the things we needed.

The access to the house is off a steep, quite busy road. You can drive up the driveway (as given in the info once you have reserved) to drop off your bags, but then you must back out down the driveway on to the road. It is not particularly difficult -but you really need someone to guide you back. Our timing must have been off as we booked only a few hours before arrival, so did not have a "meet and greet" on arrival. There are two rooms on the entry level-I think it looks like you could get suitcases to those two rooms. However the next rooms are up a steep narrow stairway that seems, to me, unsuitable for much more than carry on sized luggage. Puna Perch is then up another outside narrow set of stairs. Puna Perch is cute-but doesn't have its own toilet. For the shared toilet one must go back down the outside stairs in to the house. The toilet is in the room that is also an open shower and has a sink. It is an awkward shower to use knowing someone else will also need to be in there and the room could be quite wet from the shower. Puna Perch is not for anyone with a lot of luggage (we left ours down in the car-(which needs to be parked around the corner which means quite a short but steep walk back to the house). The house itself may be challenging for those with mobility issues-I would ask a few questions of the owners first!
