Quiet, clean and close to the station

− Door in the second bedroom has a slight defect. Needed to lift it so I can fully close the door.

Good location, easy access to train, close to a lot, safe area

− The shower was not clean, had mold on the shower door and floor. Shower shoes definitely needed.

Great location, but legally dubious property

The location is fantastic. Located in a great neighborhood in Astoria, and very easy to get to the train line and downtown. The apartment itself is nice enough and gets the job done for a weekend visit to NYC.

− One day when we returned to the apartment, we found an eviction notice left on the door. We sent a picture of it to the owner, and they didn't really say anything about it. It wasn't clear to us if it's even legal for that apartment to be used for Booking.com or AirBnB. Overall this left our group kind of anxious about whether we'd get in trouble for being there.
