Extremely noisy house with a thin connecting door - not recommended for a relaxing stay!

− We have to officially complain about our stay It all started with that we did not have electricity for one day. This was unpleasant but still bearable and the host really did her best to solve the issue. More importantly, we could not enjoy our stay due to constant noise due to a construction issue of the building with guests next door. The house has a very thin, uninsulated, wooden connecting door to the neighboring house which made the house and beds (especially downstairs) inhabitable at most times. The house has an open floor plan, so the noise is everywhere, there is no room to hide from it. The host owns the property next door and the constant music and noise ruined our stay. Due to the connecting door issue the noise level is always like it is happening right in our apartment. This is not acceptable for guests that want to enjoy their stay and that have a kid that needs to sleep at some point. The connecting door is/was NOT mentioned in the listing, otherwise we would not have booked the house. The issue was documented and proven by us. Limitations like that (connecting door) have to be mentioned in the listing according to Booking.com's policy. Most disappointing is that the host did not answer to the case Booking.com opened to resolve the situation after the stay. Booking flagged the host for that and solved the issue with a partial refund on their own. The host was trying to help during our stay but was not helping afterwards, not even with escalation to Booking.com. This is the main reason for the very low score.
