10.0Beautiful location with on site parking. Bedrooms are beautiful and have everything you would need. Delicious breakfast The best thing is the wonderful couple who run Brook House. They can’t do enough for you. Wonderful people. Cannot recommend enough.

10.0Staying with Liz and Graham was immediately like being with long-time friends. Both were extremely hospitable and interesting people. Liz was so welcoming, being very informative on walks and places to eat in the area. They have their very own "room of requirement" with all possible extras their guests might need...from fans, umbrellas through to ironing board and drying rack. Brillant. They provide facilities for those who fancy a take-away at day's end. Although we enjoyed a fabulous meal at one of Liz's recommended places. Graham's breakfasts were absolutely top-notch and timed prefectly to our chosen breakfast time. The room was very clean and beautifully presented. With an excellent en-suite. Definitely one of the best places we've stayed, absolutely delighted to have found them.

10.0The hosts were incredible, exceptionally friendly with lots of local knowledge and very useful printed guides in the room. We had the use of the dining room for Takeaway meals in the evening. The view from our attic room was lovely, looking towards the Langdales.
− The room we had would not have been suitable for guests with mobility issues as it was up two flights of narrow stairs.

10.0The location was perfect for us as it will be for everyone, short walk to nearby shops, restaurants and a 20 minute walk down towards the lake going past loads of little fabulous shops. Liz and Graham are very welcoming and for those without a plan, Liz has lots of walks written down with directions to see some incredible views. Breakfast was really nice and sets you up for the day before venturing out. Private car park but also plenty of on street parking available. Would definitely book again
