A practically perfect stay.

The condo had absolutely everything we needed. It was well appointed, the kitchen was full of all items needed to cook, full size refrigerator, washer and dryer with detergent and bleach, dishwasher with soap pods. There were lots of towels, plus beach towels for pool use. The rooms and beds were comfortable and each had its own A/C unit. The place felt brand new. It was right in the middle of town and a short walk to the main street and down to the beach. Obtaining the keys and access to the unit was easy with instructions that were emailed to us. There was a parking spot for each unit that was secure behind a locking gate. It was a practically perfect stay.

− The road that the unit is located on has a house a few doors down with about 10 dogs. They bark whenever anyone walks down the street. Luckily the street dead ends, so it's not too often. We did not hear them while we slept in the bedroom to the left (behind the kitchen), but they might have been more bothersome if we were staying in the bedroom to the right. There is a new home being built to the right and that could produce some noise too, but we heard none when in the left bedroom. This unit did not have an elevator, so if you have mobility issues and can't use stairs, this is NOT the place for you.

Close proximity to the town. The space was nice and cozy. The property management company was responsive and helpful. Clean unit and common areas (mostly). Amenities were good. Plenty of bath towels and nice to have pool/beach towels provided too. AC worked really well.

− Close proximity to a LOUD bar that plays music from 9pm until 2am or later. Had we known this, we certainly wouldn’t have booked here. The neighbors -@ least two different ones have a dog that they leave outdoors to bark around 10 pm until about 10am or later, sometimes all day. There is ongoing (condos/homes) construction in the area that begins at 7am every morning. Had we known this, again, we wouldn’t have stayed here. Happy to pay more for good, undisturbed sleep. Pool wasn’t cleaned very often and had a lot of bird feathers and the pool chairs, table, and loungers had feathers and bird droppings. Shared outdoor grill would be nice, esp since it’s only four units in the complex. There are two gates, a walk-in: which the lock isn’t work on, so that was difficult when we both went our separate ways during the day. The car gate began malfunctioning within a week and by our departure just went off the tracks and decided to quit altogether. Ants within the unit were annoying. Would be nice to have wash cloths, there was only one in total. Beach chairs would be nice as well. Basic kitchen ware - could use an indoor grill, cake pans, cooking sheets, pot holders, tongs, etc, as Costa Rican food is rather boring for meat eaters like ourselves. Blackout curtains would be great too, due to the bright lights at night and bright sun early in the morning.
