Lovely villa but invasions of privacy

It is a lovely rustic villa. The grounds are lovely & we loved the swimming pool

− Twice the owner came into the property without telling us she was coming & without our permission. Once she even washed up! The swimming pool attendant arrived one day without us being told he was coming. On our final morning, the owner arrived with her gardener before 8 am & woke us up with their noise. Again, we were not told this would happen. We couldn't explain how we felt because she didn't speak English but she didn't seem to think anything was wrong. This prevented us from using the swimming pool on our last morning. We told homevillas about the issue the first time it happened but nothing changed. First of all, we were told they would speak to her about it. Finally, we were told she had been spoken to previously about it but due to her age she didn't always understand or remember. We were given information at homevillas' convenience, not ours. We were told about the tourist tax a few days after we arrived & received information about Campanet & the surrounding area the day before we left & then only because we enquired about what to do with the rubbish. Even though a lack of crockery was mentioned in a review a year ago, there is still a lack of crockery in the kitchen, including no knife for slicing bread and a basic corkscrew which hurts your hands when opening a bottle. Not what we would expect given the price we paid.

Rustic, quiet, well-kept, great location, limited crockery, ideal for dining out.

Excellent and quite location for easy travel to either coastline. Well kept and maintained gardens and pool.

− Inside is perhaps best described as rustic and could be updated. Lack of crockery means your best eating out.
