8.0Excellent location, on tissington trail and easy reach of Ashbourne and dovedale.
− Shortage of essentials eg only four mugs, bowls, knives and dining chairs even though we booked for 5 and it is supposed to take 6.
Great caravan, great location, great value for money.
9.0Great location Good base for days out, walking, cycling and including Alton Towers. Clean caravan site with small (quite expensive) on site shop and small swimming pool (free but bookable in advance at reception/shop). Food van during summer/school holidays. Good information and communication from host.
− Generally clean and tidy and well equipped but could probably do with a bit of a spring clean (cobwebs and dusty blinds and no toilet brush) On a personal note, I found the bed sheets and blankets to smell very strongly of washing powder/liquid. I’m sure this would not bother most people but with a sensitive nose and sensitive skin, I found it difficult to sleep due to the strong smell.
