The property has the potential to be a great accommodating place for visitors and a flagship Airbnb for the Hempstead re

3.0

The property was a very good size, plenty of space, good amount of furniture i.e tables, chairs, washing machine, dishwasher and dryers. The dining area was welcoming and spacious, well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were a great size and had AC included as well as a TV. The bathroom on the top floor was spacious.

The top floor bathroom had a vent that was only blowing hot air which made the bathroom use unpleasant. The towels shelf in the living room where the towels were placed were dusty and visually unappealing. Some of the towels hands stains on them. The house floor and wooden staircase leading up to the bedrooms were incredibly squeaky and felt very unstable. It was an earache for all those in the house when someone would go either up or down the stairs especially at night time for those sleeping. The bathroom on the ground floor was too small. There was no railing to hang your towel or clothes on. The sink was way too close to the toilet seat. Some of us using it would bang their knees on the sink on route to the toilet seat and had to sit at an angle on the toilet seat. The cupboard on top of the sink on the ground floor bathroom was an obstruction especially when we would try brushing our teeth as the sink was far too small. For those of average height and taller the ground floor bathroom is simply unusable. It felt like we only had 1 usable bathroom. On the bedroom floor late in the evening there was light coming from a locked door near one of the bedrooms which became a safety concern as we couldn’t open the door and we could hear noises coming from the other side of the door. It sounds like there was a person on the other side of that door, which was alarming especially given that it was nighttime when most of the family was asleep. The bedroom windows were blocked from opening so we couldn’t get fresh air in the rooms and some of the windows were covered with black tissue like material. So the rooms would feel stuffy in the mornings after sleeping. There were also lots of mice running around the property which scared a lot of us staying there as there were so many. And lots of insects and creepy crawlies circling the house like beetles and centipedes.
