La terraza cubierta

− El tamaño del apartamento, muy justo

Ik kom aan op het adres na veel zoeken. Niemand aanwezig. Kreeg geen contact met de verhuurder of met booking.com Het enige wat ik kon doen was een ai robot informeren, maar daar kwam geen hulp of passend antwoord van. Na 3,5 uur wachten voor een gesloten duur in de koude avondschemering werd ik gebeld door de verhuurder. Over 20 minuten zou een collega mij een sleutel komen brengen. Die 20 minuten werden 65 minuten.....ik was op doorreis met een volle auto, die bleek aan de straat te moeten blijven staan. De tassen naar de voordeur van het complex en daarna met een lift naar de eerste verdieping was een drama. Ik ben hart patient en moest alle waarde volle spullen uit de auto halen en naar boven brengen. Ik was gesloopd en helemaal op....

− Door het wachten en de afstand naar de voordeur had ik eigenlijk al helemaal geen zin meer. Ik heb voor 8 nachten geboekt en ben er maar 2 of 3 gebleven. Kreeg mijn geld niet terug dat moest booking.com maar regelen

Extremely overpriced for sub standard quality

The location

− Poor communication from the host. The contact number we were given was for a person who couldn’t speak English and kept hanging up the phone so we were unable to arrange a meeting point to collect the keys. We had to ask a waiter in a bar to speak to the host on our behalf as this was the only way we could communicate with her. The photos on booking.com do not resemble the property as it is now. The shower leaked every time it was used. The towels provided were so cheap they didn’t even dry you. The bedding was very old, cheap quality and the material was pilled. It was so bad we turned the quilt cover inside out as it was really uncomfortable on your skin. The fitted sheet wasn’t big enough for the mattress and constantly came off. The pillowcases were too big for the pillows and were made from a cheap satin fabric so the pillows kept slipping out. The bed squeaked every time you moved. The apartment block had extremely noisy neighbours, DIY, slamming doors at all times of the day and night and people having loud conversations at all hours. The corridors were dark and unwelcoming and constantly smelled of cigarette smoke and other substances and the lifts were filthy. We booked the apartment for three weeks. The final straw was when we saw a cockroach run from under the bed. We booked a flight home immediately and lost a week of our holiday and incurred extra cost for an earlier flight. Very disappointing and stressful experience and we certainly would not recommend the apartment.

It's location

− The studio was tiny and suitable for one person only. The bathroom was the nicest area to be in. There had been so much rain, the room was damp on arrival and the enclosed patio area so cold that I couldn't use it at all. It might be nicer in Summer?
