NO WIFI - But otherwise great, with caveats
8.0Very clean, an amazing view and a lovely terrace to relax on. Sits on the side of a mountain in a wealthy, leafy holiday home development, about 10 mins from the town area. Had all the things you need. The owner was very friendly. Lots of deer prancing around the forested community. The villa was spacious. Had a table tennis room and some DVDs to watch. I spent a long time searching and relative to Yufuin options I still think this is a great choice.
− No wifi and and i had a poor phone reception so surfing that way was slow too. It does state no wifi under facilities so hopefully other people won't miss it like I did. The place can get cold. There is AC but only in the main lounge area, not in any of the other rooms. You can pay to use the fireplace but not cheap. Tiny flat pillows. I had to use my luggage underneath. As a Westerner, the Japanese style lack of sofa and bed unit was cool to begin with but the novelty wore off quickly. People who like a personal touch will enjoy meeting the landlord on departure and arrival. He is very friendly and helpful. As an introvert I prefer an automated process.
