House & Host & Booking.com Scam
1.0The host never provided entry instructions and was unreachable on the date we reserved. We arrived at the property at the agreed time but were unable to gain access.
− I booked this house in February 2025 and received a confirmation, but when I arrived in June 2025, the property was not accessible. I tried calling and texting the host for hours with no response. I tried every phone number, text, and message through my Booking.com app but only received a "we will get back to you in 24 hours" response. Finally, I reached Booking.com_India, who also tried to contact the host to no avail, and eventually canceled the reservation, offering my party of 5 (3Adults, 2Children) a hotel in lieu of the 4 BR house. When I refused, Booking.com asked for my credit card info to charge me $60/night for canceling the house!! Later that day, the Host finally responded by text to say that the house had been double booked, and he had a reservation with a different party through Air B&B.
