Lovely quiet break near Snowdon.

Great location to explore the area of Snowdonia. Borth y Gest itself is very quiet which suited us with a dog we could walk on the beach. House is spacious and beds are comfy with 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms so good for families. We were 5 adults and 2 kids. Parking is very easy on the road in front of the property.

− Nothing really but worth noting a short walk up a path might be tricky for older guests. Especially with bags. We had an 82 year old but she is very good for that age.

Beautiful house with amazing views

Beautiful, spacious house, comfortable beds, very peaceful, amazing views. Communication was excellent. Location is ideal for beaches, Porthmadog, steam railway, mountain hikes etc. The house is ideal for families, larger groups or family get togethers. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay in the sunshine

Great size property, everything very clean and was well equipped. Its about 15 mins to walk into Porthmadog. Borth y gest is a very quiet place. The views from the property are exceptional. The pictures are obviously from when the property was first let and it is now showing some signs of wear.

− The extractor fan in ensuite doesnt work. The property is advertised as dog friendly, however when you arrive the rules are dogs are not allowed upstairs. Having to try and use 2 stair gates on steep stairs was inconvenient and I can see as causing an accident at some point for people. Also neither the front garden or rear yard is enclosed at all. The house is semi detached and the rear yard is between the 2 houses shared which does impact your privacy. There are rules you have to go inside by 9pm even though that is also a holiday let and not residential. Nothing in Borth y gest is open on Tuesday both delis and the shop are shut which we found strange.

Superbly located accommodation with stunning bay, sea, and mountain views, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and very homely.

− Parking is some distance from the house, and the steep gravel path with limited lighting could be challenging for guests with reduced mobility. Also, while the house had many thoughtful extras, shower gel was not provided, which was inconvenient given the nearest supermarket is a few miles away.
