8.0Beautiful location. Log fire made the evenings extra cosy. Wonderfully comfortable beds and plenty of fluffy towels. Kitchen and living room were bigger than they looked in the pictures. Selection of books and jigsaw puzzles. Nice, easy-to-operate showers. The furnishings are slightly shabby, but we liked that as it made it more homely and we weren't anxious about spilling anything (which we didn't!)
− There was a strong sort of wet dog smell in the entrance way and kitchen. We burned a scented candle to disguise it, but it was a bit off-putting. Maybe the guests before us had a dog? Thankfully not a trace of it anywhere else.The kitchen could have been a bit better equipped eg a decent non stick frying pan and some of the utensils looked a bit ancient.
