9.0A really comfortable bed, clean room and complete freedom to come and go as we pleased using the keypad on the door. We were in a room at the rear of the property and whilst no amazing view it was very quiet. Great to be in the centre of Ambleside.
− Just wish there was some access just for dropping off and picking up bags but we were aware of the situation before booking and it is just 2 minutes if you get into the nearest carpark for which you get a permit.

8.0Fantastic location in the heart of Ambleside, couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Check in was easy and it was great having a parking permit provided, we managed to park in the car park a minutes walk away. Lovely comfy bed.
− We were both a little underwhelmed on entering our room. We felt the room was now looking a bit dated and did not feel the price we paid was reflected in the standard of the room, however we had to bear in mind the location could not have been better so this could offset some of this. A brighter colour on the walls would brighten up the room so much so it didn’t feel so dull when you walked in. The seals around the shower door kept coming off and the shower did not drain properly so no long shower or you’d be flooding the bathroom floor.

− A bit noisy overnight as it's right next to the pub.
Lovely stay
8.0Clean and tidy bedroom with ensuite shower. The set up to access the property ran smoothly and the parking permit was a bonus. Location is in the middle of the town with plenty shops restaurants and pubs. Didn't see any staff over our 2 nights.
− The room we were in didn't have a socket near the mirror to be able to see drying your hair and there is no electric shaver point. The room was painted in a dark colour so we needed the extension cable to be able to use the bedside lamp and the fan at the same time. These things didn't negatively impact on our stay though.
