Beds were clean & comfortable

− Unfortunately, this accommodation fell short by far of any basic standard of cleanliness. For those thinking of booking, bear in mind the following: it is a single glazed property, and if you aren’t used to main road noise, then this is not for you as you will get very little sleep due to the road noise which is constant throughout the night. The toilet brush, I would not want to touch or use. Bathroom window requires a wedge to remain open. Shower has barely any power or water coming through. Shower curtain has old stains on it, requires throwing away and a new one purchased. Carpeting marked, old and there is a running repair on the staircase with a different piece of carpet albeit a similar colour. Not sure where or how there are glowing comments regarding this property on reviews, all from 2025. However, the issues may have been down to the property not having any recent occupants since the last review date!? There are little comforts and lack of concern to safety such as electric cables left bare and no casing. Little cosmetic touches to help furnish and finish off on décor and replacement of items would go a long way to improve things. Dust and cobwebs throughout the property. Light fittings were dirty and covered in dust and dead insects. On arrival crockery required washing prior to use, as covered in dust. The outdoor area at the back is dire, you could not sit outside on the patio. There may also be people living in the conservatory and garage! It smells of damp and has incense sticks throughout, assume to take away the damp smell. The house requires an upgrade, and it has a neglected feel about it, and it shows both in and out. The only redeeming feature is that the beds were comfortable however due to road noise this really did not help, and we decided not to check out the mattresses. The floors and cistern could do with a good clean. We cancelled our booking for the following week.

The property was in a very good location for us to attend a friend's 50th birthday party. House was clean, facilities were all good. Will definitely book again if we are staying in that area.

I loved how spacious it was and how easy it was to gain access to and from. Location is perfect and everything you can ask for. Really nice and quiet area helps the kids settle at night. Felt like a home inside. Absolutely loved it and would recommend. The hosts are great people and are very welcoming, will definitely be looking to come back in the future on the next visit. Highly recommend.

House was a good size, instructions clear, kitchen well equipped

− Rooms smelt of smoke, the toilet was dirty, the instructions were long and bossy. I amended my booking by adding 2 more people, was charged another £30.00 and only one single bed was ready, No other bedding was laid out. Felt it was expensive for what it was.

The cleaner was very helpful in locating the key for the house. Overall, our experience was good—the house was clean and well-maintained. However, having only one shower was quite challenging for a group of four adults and four children. It would be much more convenient if there were two showers available.
