Perfectly suits our travel needs, so we always check availability at The Phenix as our first option.

Good location, reliable quality of rooms, ease of check in and check out, and accepts our pet travel companion

It’s in the center of downtown Bangor, where there are a lot of bars and restaurants--so that sometimes means it can be a bit noisy at night. This time staying there, the numbers of homeless people in the general area seemed to have grown—alongside the downtown in the general national economy. A pity, but not something the hotel hosts can really control.

Ideal location in the heart of town. Decent accommodations. Nice coffee shop in the nice lobby.

Location. Location. Location!

Facilities were fine, but not fabulous. The view from the window is obscured, which is good because the room overlooks the trash area. Contact with the facility managers was via text only, no voice or in person options. However, they answered promptly and were helpful. Bed was a bit mushy.

Confusing, overpriced, but great location and nice bed.

Spacious room at great location. When I needed an iron, I had to call customer service - but they instantly directed me to find a service room while activating my access in there. And it worked.

Very confusing place, with so many controversial features. 1. Spacious room - with very little furniture. Not a single chair! 2. Really sizeable bathroom with nice faucets - but the sink is located outside of it, in the living room. 3. Bathroom has a fan - but no switch to operate it. 4. There is a desk phone, connected to the socket - but no sound. 5. One of the wall switches is marked "GFCI Protected Outlet". 6. There is a coffee shop downstaires but they don't offer a breakfast. 7. They provide no parking, and even don't know exactly the rules of on-street parking. All in all - it's rather overpriced but location is really nice.
