10.0We had a fantastic stay at Tall Pines and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The lodge was amazing—clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing break. The king-size bed was absolutely fantastic, and we had the best night’s sleep. One of the highlights for us was the secure, fenced garden. As I’m disabled, it gave me real peace of mind knowing my dogs could safely enjoy the outdoor space without any chance of escaping. The surroundings were so peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to unwind. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would definitely recommend Tall Pines to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We would love to come back again!

Beautiful lodge
9.0The lodge has everything you need for a short stay. Great decor, huge TV and fridge freezer! Definitely has the wow factor when you walk in. Great layout with bedrooms either side of the living space. My dog loved the bed, quite out of character for her as she usually favours the floor!
− Mattress in smaller double room was uncomfortable. No outside light on decking. Wooden planks between lounge & shower room could do with gaps filling as you could see people on the loo! We found this hilarious, but might not be for everyone! Shame there's no pub/shop within easy walking distance, but wasn't a problem for us. We had a problem with flies in the kitchen area, so maybe some sort of repellant/zapper might be a good idea.

10.0The owners are just the most helpful couple, even put our food shop delivery away for us as arrives before we did !
− Only thing we didn’t like was the mosquito’s and flies ! But they even give you fly spray and a swatter ! Which was used a lot lol 😂
Needs a bit of work
5.0Ease of parking, woodland view, quirky building kids loved the little pod rooms.
− The building didn't feel quite finished. One side of the building still needed cladding. No cushions for outdoor seating. Not enough counter top space in the kitchen made cooking a simple meal difficult. Living space was not very big considering it could sleep 8 people. Only space for 4 at the table, 4/5 sofa spaces. The internal walls had big gaps that you could see through and hear everything. Not a problem if you are in familiar company. Internet didn't seem to work for the duration of our staff or the main tv, but that may have been user error. Smell coming from bedroom carpet, like a pet may have had an accident at some point. Decking area and bench at rear was unusable because of excessive bird poo.

− Not necessarily a problem for us but Wi-Fi not great Not sure what can be done about this but the noise of the wind through the roof and other gaps was very loud at times. Not cold though
