House Poor, Location Fantastic.

The House is in a fantastic location right on the River Thames. Also a short ride to Windsor and Ascot.

− The house although clean needs a lot of updating. The wiring isn’t right we turned the light on for the downstairs bathroom but it didn’t come on. We assumed the bulb had gone but later on some switched a light on and the bathroom light came on from that switch. There were a lot of cables and wires behind the TV and extension leads in the bedrooms presumably because some sockets didn’t work. The Garden hadn’t been tended to for a while as it was overgrown and weeds in the pavement areas. The decking was lovely though. We needed to use the sofa bed because of the number of people staying. I had seen a review where it stated there was no pillow cases or quilt cover for the pillow or quilt for the sofa bed. I therefore specifically asked once in the chat via booking.com and also when I spoke to the owner the day before arrival that the sofa was made up to include bedding. But this hadn’t been done in fact there were no pillows for the bed at all, we had to take from the other beds. It also isn’t what you would consider a proper sofa bed more of a futon with no mattress so very uncomfortable. The TV remote wasn’t working so although we could switch the TV on we couldn’t navigate and select the channel. We called the number for if you had any issues that was in the Property only to be told by the lady that she didn’t know why her name and number was still there as she didn’t work for the owner any more. Also issue with plug in upstairs bathroom. Also the oven wasn’t clean had residual grease. On checkout we went to recycle our rubbish but all the bins were full to the top and again didn’t seem to have been emptied in sometime.

Very suitable for our stay in wraysbury great host could not do enough for us

The property was idea for us as our daughter had her wedding 150 metres along the road the house was fairly clean needed a bit of TLC waste paper bins upstairs in bathrooms more electrical points upstairs

− Grounds uneven better lighting on steps near decking more cleaning clothes and tea towels a normal coffee pot

Beautiful old house fantastic facilities great location

Beautiful old house right on the river, the boat was a brilliant extra (No you can’t drive it) pool and sauna got good use and the games/gym room is fantastic. Off street parking and plenty outdoor space with a beautiful garden to the front of the property. Beds are very comfortable and the house is pretty well equipped with everything we needed. This is not a modern house that’s why we loved it. We will absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends.

− Bed Linnen was cleaned but stained, we were short of extra Linnen to cover the duvet and pillows for the living room bed, lots of extra quilts and pillows (however they were all covered in massive stains so quite gross). Could so with some scissors in the kitchen and more teaspoons. Sofas are cheap looking and uncomfortable and most the curtains are hung terribly. This house is amazing but it definitely needs a woman’s touch it’s very bare and in desperate need of some pictures and soft furnishings, decent sofas to bring it up to scratch. Loads of cobwebs everywhere but relatively clean otherwise.

Helpful owners but the cleaner needs to be more thorough

Idyllic location, perfect for a relaxing on an evening. BBQ grill was clean and easy to use, outdoor decking and patio furniture very nice too. Dining room is also fun for indoor dining with bar area. A small detail, but bedside light has usb port for charging phone:)

− House is clean, has loads of character, but missing some wall decor just as a finishing touch.
