Posizione comoda per fare il giro dei paesini iconici inglesi (Cotswolds), vicino ad una strada principale ma tranquillo e bucolico (con le pecore al pascolo nei campi dall'altra parte della strada). Richard è un ottimo padrone di casa e ci ha preparato una colazione fantastica.

A family home with a B&B included

We arrived just after 4pm, the official check in time which is later than normal, to be confronted by a locked front gate with no answer from the intercom. We tried calling it several times then I looked up the telephone numbers on this site, no reply from the landline but after trying the mobile twice we spoke to a woman who seemed quite vague, saying something about contacting her husband then rang off with no apology or explanation. It was now past 4.15 in baking sunshine. After another five minutes a man appeared in a car, we were of course blocking the entrance drive, but he pressed his keypad and the gates opened and we finally gained entry. Unbelievably he offered no apologies or explanation but asked what we wanted for breakfast next morning, we placed the order then made it clear we needed cold showers and he went away.

− The dining room had one large table seating 8 covers which we particularly disliked, yet looking around the room there seemed plenty of space for four individual tables each seating two people. There was quite a bit of coming and going among the three generations living in the house which made the atmosphere somewhat chaotic, and my breakfast order which I had to repeat twice more was wrong, beans on toast rather than the full English I’d ordered three times in total. The room itself was pleasant enough with a nice view from the bathroom although I have seen larger sinks in aeroplanes. We thought £105 was expensive and we wouldn’t stay there again.

Delightful location-pity about the split facilities.

Good breakfast, delightful rural location, friendly hosts.

− We didn't realise the 'private bathroom' for our particular room was downstairs, off the reception hall, which was very inconvenient and embarrassing.

Cozy and wholesome weekend away

Everything was perfect, from the location, to the bedroom, to the wonderful English breakfast that Richard and Jennifer cooked every morning! We stayed for a weekend and absolutely loved it. I would 100% recommend this B&B for anyone who wants a quiet, cozy and relaxing weekend away in the Cotswolds.
