Really disappointing - given the wrong room and facilities poor

The view of the river from the kitchen window was beautiful. And we were very close to the stunning historical bridge across the river.

− 1. We were given a room we had not booked. We booked a double room which the advert showed had a four poster double bed with white veils but we were given a double room with shared bathroom with plain IKEA type double bed in a different flat 2. The bedroom was 10 metres from a busy and noisy Autostrade flyover 3. The side lamp in the bedroom did not work 4. There was no gas for the cooker hob so food could only be cooked in the oven 5. There was no kettle 6. We couldn't work the dishwasher - no instructions were provided 7. The shower did not drain very well so you were left standing in 5cm of water in the shower tray 8. We emailed the owners about the above issues when we arrived but had no response 9. The owners did not greet us so we had no one to complain to face to face. 10. The balcony was tiny - 1.5 x 1 metres in size and overlooking a train line.

A good night's sleep. Surprisingly quiet considering the location sandwiched between the railway line and the road out of town. Not to mention the main road overpass that is just above the property. There is a caffettiera and gas stove. The local Penny is a short walk. Good for buying necessary supplies like coffee, soap, and toilet paper all of which were sadly lacking on arrival. The kitchen is spacious, equipped with four small tables seating two people each. No couch in the property, making it somewhat uncomfortable to stay.

− The listing mentions an outdoor pool. This is not on the property, but refers to the public pool in town. There is no wifi.

“La casa es preciosa y el entorno encantador, nos gustó muchísimo. El trato con nuestra anfitriona fue excelente: muy amable y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. Nos facilitó todo para que el acceso fuera cómodo a nuestra llegada, algo que agradecimos enormemente tras muchas horas de viaje. El pueblo donde se encuentra es muy pequeño y se recorre rápidamente, pero el entorno es maravilloso y está a tan solo 20 minutos de Lucca, una ciudad preciosa. Sin duda, una elección acertada. ¡Lo recomendamos!”

appartamento ben arredato, cuscini comodi, ampio

− Mi spiace perché la proprietaria è stata gentilissima. Purtroppo però la posizione non si può cambiare, ma in estate riposare diventa davvero difficile: alle 6 del mattino, con le finestre aperte, il traffico della strada per l’Abetone entra in camera svegliando inevitabilmente. Dall’altro lato, circa ogni mezz’ora, passa un treno molto rumoroso. Il bagno non era molto pulito: il piano del lavandino era appiccicoso, e con residui di dentifricio nel lavandino, ho trovato biancheria sporca nel cesto e panni da stendere nella lavatrice. Inoltre il piatto doccia non scaricava bene e in pochi minuti l’acqua arrivava a metà piede. Nell’appartamento mancavano bollitore e microonde, nonostante fossero indicati in descrizione. Non ero lì per vacanza ma per lavoro: rientrata alle 2 di notte, la sveglia involontaria alle 6 non è stata piacevole. In conclusione, non ci tornerei né per lavoro né per vacanza.

Un buon soggiorno

Posizione ottima per quello che serviva a me, in una zona relativamente tranquilla del paese, parcheggio di fronte a casa o comunque nelle immediate vicinanze. Carinissima la proprietaria che mi ha consentito di entrare in appartamento anche prima dell'orario stabilito.

− Avrei gradito una macchinetta del caffè e qualcosa, anche di confezionato, per fare colazione.
