quiet stay in the rice terraces

located in the depths of ping an village, it was quite challenging to get to but it is good location to be immersed in the countryside vibe (literally staying in the rice fields), with the scenic view points being rather accessible in the area. room was quite big and cleanliness was acceptable. overall, it felt like a homestay rather than a hotel and the cozy vibe was nice.

− instructions for how to get to the hotel could have been clearer, as it was not very clear that the hotel could basically only be accessed by their own car pickup

The host was ultra friendly and helped us with everything. They offer taxi rides from and to the airport. They even drive us once to Dazhai since the bus that was supposed to drive us didn't come. That was very very kind. They also offer dinner on demand.

− Now the following is just to inform you as a potential guest and not as a critisicm. The hotel is kind of at the bottom of the hill. So in order to reach the viewing platforms you have to climb quite a few stairs. With humid weather, this is quite a sweaty walk^^. So if you don't want to do all the stairs you should get a hotel that is more north / up the hill. But of course, they will also be more expensive. Since you will likely only do these stairs once a day in each direction, maybe it's worth to pay less. Nevertheless, we would still recommend this hotel.

We loved our time at this wonderful hotel. They took extremely good care of us. We arrived late, hungry and tried at the hotel. The family invited us to join in their Mom’s birthday celebration with lots of delicious food and drinks. We felt very welcomed and at home. The next day they provided us raincoats, umbrellas and rain boots for it was pouring rain which kept us warm and dry while discovering the rice terraces. We were also given good tips and recommendations when we inquired about things. Out room was very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing view of the terraces . We would definitely stay here again when we come back to visit the rice terraces.
